charliepup.jpgMy pal Charlie passed on today, he was a part Sheltie, part unknown, little dog who lived to be 17 years old. We didn’t train him very well but he trained us excellently. He had a passion for tennis balls and would chase them forever. Many a time I had to wrench the ball from his jaws when he was so tired his tongue was hanging out. A good swimmer he always wanted to be included on trips to the slough with the gang. A survivor of three attacks by the neighborhood Cujo and a ten day oddysey when he was lost from the vet’s. He slowed down quite a bit as he got older and became the calm companion you would wish for. Charlie, you will be remembered.
